Have you been traumatized by the disturbing presidential debates this year? Do you love discussing current political events, but your friends turn their backs on you every time you say “Brexit”? Are you generally interested in debating or public speaking? Or do you just really, really like cakes?

Whether you have zero experience with debating or single-handedly organized your high school debating team, we guarantee you’ll have a great time at Debate Society’s first event!

What to expect:
o Show debate: “Should DUWO finally be sued?” – Watch an example debate over a topic that is relevant to us all!
o Short introduction to debating in general and at AUC. Learn what events to expect during this and future semesters!
o Fun speed-debating – Debate and get to know people!
o All the cake you can eat!

This introductory event will be hosted on Wednesday, 9th November at 8 pm in the Academic Building (room 1.02).
