We plan on going on a cinema trip to the Palestinian Film Festival this October, specifically to the event “Fashion Programme” described by the festival to “feature a collection of short films, commercials, and music videos all conceiving the fashioned body as bearer of violence and occupation. Whether at a catwalk or in an airport, the filmmakers understand the socio-political boundaries of fashion and seek to redefine them.” We find this very valuable and important to go to, as it’s important to attend screenings that tend to be more political and eye-opening. The short films will include Maskhara (2020), Antenne (2021), Chic Point (2003), Body Tones (2022), Errorvision (2021), and Homecoming Queen (2021). All of these short films will be incredibly valuable to experience! Join us as we come together for an evening of impactful cinema and collective support.
