Honorary members are members of the community which show exemplary dedication and effort within the association. They are honoured with a special membership of the AUCSA and under special conditions can still participate in the association after graduating AUC. Other than that the Honorary Member Status is purely symbolic and is aimed to commemorate exemplary efforts.
The status of Honorary member is given by the General Assembly, this means that all members decide together who becomes a Honorary Member. To become a Honorary member you need to me recommended to become one, this can be done by one or multiple members who have to gather signatures to propose a candidate. Currently you need 10% of members to sign a recommendation in order to be proposed at the GA. If the signatures have been validated, at the next General Assembly there will be a vote held on the candidacy and if it passes the candidate becomes a Honorary Member.
